Electrolytic Aluminum Multi-Function Crane

The electrolytic aluminum multi-function crane is key process equipment in large-scale prebaked anode aluminum electrolysis production, designed to operate in harsh environments characterized by high temperatures, high currents, strong magnetic fields, heavy dust, and HF gas.

The crane consists of the bridge traveling mechanism, main girders, tool trolley, aluminum tapping trolley, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and electrical control system. Its core component is the tool trolley, which comprises the trolley traveling mechanism, trolley frame, tool slewing mechanism, crust breaker, anode replacement mechanism, slag skimming mechanism, feeding mechanism, and operator's cab slewing mechanism. The entire crane adopts variable frequency control combined with PLC. Operation is carried out either from the operator's cab or via remote control, with the two operation modes capable of working in coordination or functioning independently.

Zehua's newly developed three girder electrolytic aluminum multi-function crane is designed to complement the industry-leading 600kA large-scale aluminum reduction cells.
It is equipped with advanced features including a dual-anode mechanism (individual/linked operation), independently rotating slag skimming mechanism, grab with leveling function, precise aluminum tapping system, automatic anode height measurement system, intelligent operation and maintenance system, and light grid isolation system, enabling intelligent control and efficient operation.

Product Characteristic

This electrolytic aluminum multi-function crane is capable of performing the following process operations for prebaked anode aluminum reduction cells:

(1) Crust Breaking
Breaking the crust of the electrolyte to add alumina and fluoride salts (electrolyte) into the cell.

(2) Feeding
Adding alumina and fluoride salts (electrolyte) into the cell.

(3) Anode Replacement
Loosening, lifting, and tightening screw clamps; removing spent anodes; and replacing them with new anodes.
(4) Slag Skimming
Skimming slag and debris from the electrolyte surface.
(5) Aluminum Tapping
Vacuum extraction, tapping, transporting, and weighing (single batch and cumulative total) of molten aluminum, with display and printing functions.
(6) Anode Busbar Raising
Lifting the anode busbar raising frame.
(7) Maintenance
Assembling and disassembling the upper structure and lower shell of the reduction cell during installation and maintenance, as well as performing other miscellaneous lifting tasks.
